OK Dave
The sheet area for the walkway and over the flaps is just 1/16 balsa played over the existing. Create a 1/16 step 25mm in from the leading edge for a finish point at the front.
The strips are 1/16 sheet cut into strips 7mm wide spaced at 50 mm. The first strips go on guide quickly. I made up some 1/8 sheet spacers 43mm wide to set them out. Creating the squares is the more difficult bit needing lots of cut strip at 43mm.
After completing one wing take care on the second to get it the same. You will see the adjustment needed on mine.
To be more true to the full site the strips which are supposed to represent the frame all meet together on the leading and trailing edges making the short strips all different lengths. That would take considerably longer. Depends how long you want to spend getting into scale detail. It's a scale twin so losing an engine at a crucial time will quickly return it to kit form...
I still have to do the fin and tail so plenty to do yet.
Hopefully this helps.
