Well Iv not exactly been sat on my hands these last few weeks, but looking at ways of operating the Intercooler Doors on the P-47
Now I have listened to what you have all said in every regard, particularly with weight,
So....!
I decided to make and trial a mock set of doors and so far so good..
In terms of weight the both sides weigh less than a cheep plastic geared servo 40 gram or so, Iv have sent it off to be evaluated as to whether or not it could be put in to production with a little refinement. the Rail would be routed so it would have a smoother travel and to be cut from a harder more long lasting material and if possible even lighter...
So for now enjoy the photos and more to come when the finished item hopefully returns home to me ...
