The markings are unit markings, Heres some gumph on it

Been a liitle while since my last update, but I have been travelling a lot with work. Anyway, I am at the "I could start the engines if I wanted" stage ,, the temptation is killing me. But as this is my first big model I am now taking time to double check everything. The U/C is fitted and cycled so That is a major hurdle out of the way! , there is some adjustment I want to make but thats more cosmetic.
The B17 nose blister supplied by Dave Johnson has been cut down and fitted, it looks pretty good. Next big job is to balance her, I know its going to need a big lump of lead so have fitted a reinforced cockpit floor thats man enough for the job.

Well, its finally ready to go, thanks to Steve Vodrey and Cary Bailey for helping balance the model, Couple of slight issues to sort out , one being to adjust the throttle linkages as "prescribed" by Mr Vodrey and second to have a look at the U/C valve which keeps venting to atmosphere after operation, I think it might be caused by the amount of travel set on the TX , I got the valve from kingfisher but can not get through to them to ask what should be the settings, (I am in Saudi Arabia with work) but, if anyone uses this valve and knows the set up that would aid greatly.. So I can adjust it when I get home.

Haha, guys just for clarification here, yes the throttles were linked, a very nice job of the mechanical connection, but they were not "linked" as the throttles were not set the same! Mr Vodrey and I were chuckling to ourselves in that DW had done such a great job on the aircraft and yet you could see the butterflies were totally out! What DW didn't tell you was that he did not remove the diaphragm caps on the carbs, the motors ran great but had to use his huge starter to get them to run! It was so funny looking at DW's face trying to give excuses that these caps should have been removed by the manufacturer before selling them to him, it was a picture!! In all seriousness, that's why the more of us there are to give a modeller a helping hand the easier the set up can be on our models. Plus we get a good laugh! We are so looking forward to seeing this mighty behemoth take to the skies!

Dave, I spoke to Paul at Kingfisher, the Xicoy valve you have does vent air when switching off the radio Rx. This air is just what is held in the valve and does not alter the command to operate the retracts.
