Silencers

Postby John Greenfield » September 18th, 2009, 6:46 am

Hello all

Some years ago the late Mike Jackson did an artical on building silencers that was published in the journal. Whilst the basis of the artical was about the construction of the silencer I do recall it had a table in it that gave details of the volume of each chamber in relation to engine capacity. If anyone can recall which journal it was in or has a copy of the artical I would be pleased to have the information.

Thank you in anticipation.

The Journal is 66 August 98. Keith Mitchell wrote an article on silencers - ISSUE 16 Feb 2007.

How about a reprint in the next journal, many new members since then won't have the journal.

He also developed a single cylinder air piston for scale retracts.
Its simplicity was shear brilliance.
