1/4 Scale Chipmunk

Postby Dave Kellett » November 14th, 2017, 11:26 am

Hi,
Does anyone know where I can obtain a set of drawings/kit, cowl and canopy for a 1/4 scale DH Chipmunk that would suit a 45cc petrol engine.

Many thanks and best regards

Dave

Hi Dave, 1/4 scale Chipmunk Jerry Bates plans and laser cut short kit from Belair (though they do show it with a Zenoah ZG38). Cowl (which should take a 45) and canopy from Fighteraces. I think there are 6 sheets of plans, loads of scale detail shown, including full cockpit detail. My mate's just got a set and we are going to sort out a wood list ready for the build. Jonesey.

The Mike Smart Designs Chippy is good. Plans and parts are available.

Hi Jonesey
How the devil are you? thanks for that info, I will look into it.
The new Sea Fury looks good, great piece of work, I bet Tony H is well pleased

Dave

The Bates Chippie as Jonesey says is designed around the ZG38 though I have had a club mate up here build one with a DLE55........a bit 'pylon' like, but they will take the power if you're sensible.

Canopies we have in stock, cowls we lay up to order.......plans are all printed to order & drop shipped straight from the printers. If you want any more info.........give me a buzz, you know where we are!!

Cheers

Phil
