Pms !! Or lack of them being sent !!

Once again I have sent a pm to a member who has NOT received it !! What is the matter with this rubbish system where it allows a pm to be typed up and when you press submit, NOTHING HAPPENS to it and although it says on the message you are sending it too that a pm has been sent, the recipient then says NOTHING HAS BEEN SENT !!
Either get this silly system to work or delete it from an otherwise excellent site.

I've just sent you a test message, please reply if you get it.

When you type the message, are you scrolling down to the message box rather than typing in the first empty box?
That box is for extra recipients, and frequently catches me out!

I haven’t received any messages. Perhaps to save us all committing Hare Kare we should insist on only emails are used !! Never had one of those go missing lol

Really? I send out a hundred emails to club members and you would not believe the numbers who "never got the email...."

Don't forget, when sending a PM, it must have a recipient, a subject and a message. If any of the three are missing, the message won't send.

Arrr, the good old PM's not working again, it comes around every now and then, there is usually a reason when most things don't work, occasionally it is some times human error, i.e. it cannot work for one and then not work for another.

Yes once again the pm bogey strikes ( it’s usually on me)
I have NEVER seen the page you have shown so where is it, how do we find it and exactly where do we type and SEND the message with confidence !!
Please itemise the steps required for actually sending a pm as I’m sure very few people know how it’s done.
“Thinks!!—— how about a system where you can click on Send pm, up pops a message box, you fill your message and press a SEND button!! Anything more than that is not needed !!

That's the private message form, and it works exactly how you describe

Click either on the name of the person you want to message on the left, or the little contact icon on the right

Then click on send private message if you've clicked on the name, or the PM icon (the one that's not an envelope or the little man) if you've clicked on the message icon

make sure the message has a recipient, a subject and a message then click submit. That's it.

Where is it !!!!!!
This is what I do :
I click on the persons name and a page appears.
On that page it says : email the person or pm them.
I click on pm and scroll down to the message box.
I type the message and click SUBMIT.
Bingo !! It tells the recipient they have a pm and guess what !! They don’t !!
Absolutely a complete waste of space !! Lol
