Enjoyed the latest journal, particularly the article on the DR1. Would like to see more detail on the power unit.
BUT PLEASE Dave can we have a better picture of Rob Buckley ??!! On Page 7 he looks like a cross between Benny on Crossroads and somebody who just had bad news. Not the happy smiling Rob we saw in the tent at Cosford !!!!

If he was smilling he must of had wind    It was done for a bit of fun, I know Rob's sense of humour, he would have like that picture, trust me. I promise I will get a better one for next time.

Glad you both like the Journal, I am going to do a featured aircraft in each issue for the foreseeable future, so here is your chance to put yours forward, I will gladly take the photos.

I can only print what is sent to me, I am sure Steve would be happy to give you more info on it.

No I don't Dave, it costs enough as it is, but as long as everyone is happy with it, that is good enough for me.

Over the years when asked what the LMA is short for I have to clarify it by saying the LARGE MODEL AIRCRAFT ASSOCIATION. They ask if I have any pics of large models.....know what I mean....nudge nudge!! I think that this is the best title for us. LMAA it even rhymes with CAA (maybe ???)

I can well imagine there are going to be some against a name change, it is expected, but I have to agree LMA or Large Model Association does bring up something we are definitely not. Its just not clear enough for anyone who doesn't know who we are.

Bob we didn't add the O you did, I am well aware what it means, so please come up with a better name instead of taking the (P) and I am sure you will understand what that means.

Barrie, speak to Tony Hooper.

What I especially like about LMFAO is that the one with the hair is the same age as me, and the uncle of the other one. Every day I'm shufflein'!

I think the best name is LMFA, as LMAA could be large airfix kits and could be confused with the LAA Light Aircraft Association. I know, one less letter but you'd be surprised.

I think Large Model Flying Association LMFA, would be the best option.

Re. the site in Warwickshire, I know Tony is the man to speak to and he'll clarify, but I thought it was associated with the LMA rather than an LMA funded club, as such and therefore has certain local restrictions/membership etc. I may be wrong (don't tell SWMBO) so apologies if I am.

Cheers

I hope those canons are synchronised, or they'll give the prop a good trimming!
