Futaba 9C programming help

Postby Tony Collins 1073 » June 5th, 2019, 10:18 pm

Bump!!!!

I need to convert full length flaps into flaps and aelerons. My radio is Futaba FF9 Super. 8 channels RX,
The full length aelerons must be retained but flaps to be selected when needed. I also would like to be able to link elevator for flap operation. I would really appreciate some help in how to do this as I am not
into progamming and have always kept it basic in the past.
Cheers Tony

Tony, if you can wait till next week, I'll see if I can write an easy to read guide for you. It's not too difficult, and the 9c has a pre-programmed flaperon function. This will need to be activated, and a flap to elevator p-mix set. As far as I remember, ailerons should be on Channels 1 & 5.

Cheers
Steve

Thanks a lot Steve, that's very kind of you. I Want to be able to operate the aileron plus flap as one aileron and then select
flap when I need it. I have just rebuilt my twenty year old Stik and aim aiming to modify it to have ailerons split for flaps as it comes in too quickly for me. I need it to slow down as much as I have :)

Thanks again, Tony.

If you don’t have a manual there is one here...

http://manuals.hobbico.com/fut/9c-manual-v1_2.pdf

Page 68-69 onward, I think. Also have a look at page 45
Fly ‘til I die...

Yes, I do have the manual Pete but thanks for the link. I always found the manual rather confusing when I was a lot younger
as I think many will agree with me. Now I am pushing eighty two it has not got any easier.
Cheers Tony.

Tony, I'm picking my daughter up from Stansted airport Monday evening. I'd be happy to pop in Monday afternoon and give you a hand with your transmitter.

It's probably easier to show you rather than trying to write it down, and it'll only cost you a cup of tea!

Cheers

That would be brilliant Steve, thanks a lot. As It happens I am all on my own next week :( My wife, daughter and granddaughter
are all leaving for Calis Turkey on Monday from Stanstead, an all girlie holiday. I couldn't go anyway as I can't walk far enough.
I will get the model on the lawn ready I have not yet split the ailerons but a couple of servos plugged in may do it for set up.
My car is off the road at the moment and I am trying to make a tool for inserting an engine mount bush. Bit of a bugger.
I will call you this evening with contact details etc .
Cheers, Tony.

Steve, I have tried calling you on home phone number and it is not recognised.
Tried your mobile and could not get a reply.
Received call from you on mobile but all quiet when I answered.
Must admit I am not very clever on mobiles as I rarely use them but could you check
what you have put for your home phone number as I have entered twice and not recognised.
Tony. My home number is 01376340316
