kill switch

Postby richard welch » December 26th, 2021, 9:43 am

Hi, I am looking for a zenoah magneto kill switch, i want it to kill the engine is the battery is disconnected, recently my firewall came loose and disconnected the throttle linkage and the kill switch wire going to a servo/micro switch inside the fuselarge, this left the engine on full bore and the kill switch disconnected, anybody have any idears of a kill switch type which will kill the engine when no power is supplied from the battery, most are controlled from the radio and this would not work.

Richard, a quick suggestion would be to replace the magneto ignition with a digital ignition such as a RcXel unit and fit with an electronic kill switch. Unfortunately an expense but will sort your issue.

Fit one of Dave Hayfields failsafe switches. Works with any magneto motor and as an added bonus it will kill the motor if there is a total power loss in the model. He sells direct but you can also find them in his ebay shop.
