I am pleased to advise that the NMAS ( Northumbrian Model Aircraft Society ) have now finalized the dates for our 2 events for 2025. The details of these are as follows.
Event 1:- This will take place from the 23rd to the 26th May with flying from 10-30 through to 8pm each day. Caravan and camping arrivals are welcome from lunch time on the 22nd with departures on the 27th. A buffet will be available each day.
Event 2:- This will be a 2 day event from the 13th to the 14th September. Flying times will be as event 1 with caravan camping arrivals from Lunch time on the 12th and departures on the 15th.
The event is only open to LMA members and there is no charge for entries. If you are not an LMA member why not join the LMA now or join the association at the event the membership is £30-oo which will give you entry to these two events plus a reduced entry fee at our flying show events this year.
The facilities we have on-site include a large club house with veranda and toilets and water are both available on site. A large mown area is available for Caravans and camping .
The flying strip lies East to West and is a mown strip suitable for all types of models and jets are welcome. The strip is approx 200meters by 60 meters.
The flying site is located approximately 6 miles outside of the village of Long Horsley and is around 20 miles North of Newcastle just off the A697.
Entries this year must be made via the events portal and as well as being an LMA member all pilots must have completed their Flying Proficiency theory test.
