Jason , what you need are Tonys short oleos as Phil suggest , his comments are valid as i thought all along we were dealing with a 100% scale model.
Forgive my lack of knowledge with the Pica kit.

Iv sent Unitracts a email asking about oles and if they could make mine shorter if not ill get new 1's as Phil said.

Pica Spitfre = Wing Span 88" Fuselage Lengh 77"

would 4.5" wheels still be ok on the short struts ??
Thanks 8-)

They would be a touch small for scale (4.8" I think would be correct for 1/5)....but you can't buy 4.8" wheels very easily, so 4.5 is close enough for sports scale, plus 'whatever will fit in your wheel well'

Iv just set the other retract in place and folded it out and both are the same so iv not have to pack any out so looks like it got them right after cutting and moving them about, must have been luck :D

Hope to start sheeting in the next few days.

Futaba 3004s are fine for ailerons and throttle, hitec 645s on elevator and rudder. Bit belt and braces, but I would use two on ele. Not sure about flaps, maybe another 645 would be advisable. I prefer the MG (metal gear) versions, about £25 each.

Hello Phil,

Im looking for a more scale 1 than the standard Pica Cowl i have 2 others but slighly too small iv been told.

Someone i know has used a Richard Rawle cowl and said its better fitting.
Thanks 8-)
