When you do fly it, make sure you get it rolling, don't haul it off too early and you'll need to use the rudder in the turns, especially on right hand turns. All the aileron and rudder to you can get and as others have said they don't glide that well but it depends on the weight.
I had one that weighed 16lbs and had an ST 2000 and glided quite well but if its built heavy then it won't glide much at all. Make sure you're wires are connected correctly and there is no twist in the wing once rigged and check and re-check the CofG!!
What servos and battery are you using? I used standard 5kg on the ailerons and one 645MG on the rudder and elevators and used a HD locking switch and 3300 sub c 5 cell nimh.

Re.the Hitec 635HB servos...there was a Tech notice issued by Hitec a couple of years ago saying that 635HB servos MUST NOT be used in petrol powered airframes, as the size of likely aircraft and therefore the engine is likely to cause a gear train failure. Only Metal gears should be used.
