Sir Henry Cooper

Postby Vince Raia » May 17th, 2011, 10:27 am

Hopefully most of you will be aware that Sir Henry Cooper has passed away, his funeral is tomorrow, May 18th.
There will be a tribute to this great man on Saturday Night, BBC 2 at around 10pm.

Sir Henry will be remembered in the hearts of many LMA members for the great evening entertainment he provided for the LMA at our Cosford show a few years ago, he was a wonderful down-to-earth gentleman and a lovely human being that will be a sad loss to the world.

I'm sure the LMA and it's members, will join me in wishing his family our condolences and thoughts at this sad time.

Thank you all for your condolence's, and thank you Keith for supplying that great photo. Unfortunately I didn't make Cosford that year, due to being physically attacked the night before I was due to leave, so missed out and was robbed of a chance to enjoy this special evening but I was told about what a great success the evening was.

Sir Henry's funeral was a wonderful tribute to a great man, and I was privileged and honoured to be with the family in paying my respects to this great man and friend, whom I will miss very much.

Perhaps if any of you took video's footage of that evening, perhaps Dave could add it to the front page as a historic archive moment of that years Cosford.

Thanks,

Vince.
