Now I have noticed that some members seem to think there models are not good enough or rank in the category of interesting planes, well let me tell you that is nonsense, all model builders had to start somewhere. A Cessna is just as appealing to some as a WWII fighter is to others, our problem seem to be that members who love and fly these type of planes don’t come forward enough to put them in the lime light, you are the ones that are making the other categories more popular.
So why not get your articles to me, I can’t build for toffee, but that didn’t stop me from putting My Sky-120 thread on our forum, (this was before I took the role of Journal Editor) If I ever get time to rewrite it I will feature it in the Journal, but as you can imagine it is pretty difficult for me at the moment.
Your article doesn’t have to be a build you can sent anything aviation related --- in our last issue Harry Harland sent in a great article when he was a journalist in his younger days. The issue before that was the life of a modeller’s wife by Morag Whitehead, all interesting reads. You might have some modelling tips you would like to share, or an interesting experience you feel like telling. So plenty of scope for you to explore.
Right the format. Your articles need to be sent to me on a disk or by email as an attachment, this should be done in MS Word on a PC or Pages on a Mac. Your pictures need to be in jpeg of tiff format, size doesn’t matter as I can reduces them if need be. Sorry but written article can no longer be accepted, as I mentioned before I don’t have the time to type them up. So what are you waiting for, get them articles in to me ASAP you know it make sense.
