Postby paul needham » January 17th, 2016, 7:27 am

I know its not modeling related but heres a couple of sites that work well to stop nuisance phone calls if like me they really pee you off, the first one works with mobiles as well as land lines.

Like you was well fed up with nuisance calls, then I found the BT 8500 answer phone system.
Any number you store in it rings as per normal .For any other call the phone asks the caller who they are, and to follow a set procedure in order to through, with held numbers are cut off, All this is happening before your phone rings. If the caller has not given up, the system will ring and tell you who is calling, its then up to you to except or reject the call. You can also input any numbers that you wont automatically blocked.it do`es lots more.
It gives me great satisfaction once in a while to look in the phone log to see the numbers of all the people that have wasted there time and money trying to ring me only to be rejected by the system. I can honestly say that all nuisance do not get though.( you do need the bt number display system)
Hope this helps

I know that I shouldn't encourage this naughtiness but sometimes you have to play along with scammers. I have had several calls from someone with an indian accent telling me that they are from microsoft and that I have terrible things in my computer that need to be removed. Feeling rather playful one day I went along with the instructions given to me to apply to my computer, which I might add was not switched on, and was asked what was now on the screen. I said there were big letters saying SCAM. The caller said "what do you mean?" I said that I knew what they were up to because I worked for a computer company writing software, I don't but said it for effect. The guy on the phone said "how much you earn?" I said "adequate" to which he replied "how you like to earn more adequate? come and work for us" Chancers or what?
