Propguy

Postby Steve Triggs » January 10th, 2017, 9:45 pm

Does anyone have any knowledge or experiences of a trader called Propguy?
I ordered a pilot figure from him in early September 2016, after several weeks I was told he was having supplier problems. By December my order had still not come in, however, I was offered alternatives or a full refund which was just shy of £100. I replied to his email asking for the refund but despite 2 more emails I have had no replies or refunds forthcoming!
My last email cancelled the order and specified a maximum of 30 days to refund my money as per Consumer Rights 2015 which will be up by the end of January 2017. So far, more than a month since accepting the first offer of a refund and a couple of weeks in to my notice of cancellation, I still have had no replies to my emails or a refund. Is there a genuine reason why he is not responding or has anyone else had similar difficulties? Unfortunately once the 30 days is up, the matter will go to Trading Standards etc etc etc.

Thanks very much for letting me know, at least he hasn't taken ill or something.
This is the first time I have ordered off Propguy, I am a patient and reasonable sort of person, but from a customer perspective I feel it is not good for customer confidence and repeat business to cease communication, I would have been more understanding if he had at least let me know and we could have sorted out a refund on his return. I wouldn't mind betting he is still taking orders.

Almost 2 months has now passed. Still nil response from Mr Propguy. My patience has expired. End of the month it all goes to trading standards et all.

5th of Feb, full refund and a reply now received!
That's the end of the matter.

just dropped on this thread, must say I am somewhat shocked, I have always found Prop guy to be excellent, even to the point where at one show he let me take the prop and fly it and come back a day later to pay. I do know over the winter months he tends to go to warmer climes ,,,

Same here! Steve is a great guy and for some reason this does not seem to add up as I find him so honest! At one show I bought a prop off him as I broke one during the day, went back to pay for it after the flight and he then invited me to join him and some other friends to have an evening meal! The meal was worth more than the prop!

Steve is a good guy but I must admit I've had some communication issues with him during the winter months.
