Never really been a fan of 'test hops' on large models.........they can take up a huge amount of space and get away from you if you're not careful. However, with a loonnngggggg billiard table flat runway at their disposal, a number of short test hope were carried out on Friday.....full test flight due tomorrow.

Two successful test flights were carried out yesterday afternoon :D (more to follow today). Other than a fraction tail heavy on the 1st, no problems were encountered. I only have the following grainy photos right now (captured from low quality video), but they are uploading a load of better quality stuff to YouTube right now, so I should be able to post a load more links later this evening.

Well done Phil, total realism.
Have you seen the B26 training film on youtube?
The real thing was a killer with one engine out, the film is priceless in the way it laughs off the emergency situation to young viewing trainee's.

Not 100% true..................I have a photo sequence somewhere showing Jimmy Doolittle flying a B-26 on 1 engine, doing circuits around a control tower below 100ft turning into the dead engine...........just to proove it could be done!!!!!!. The issue wasn't with the aircrart, but with the training (or lack of as it proved to be)

IIRC, the B-26 ended WW2 with the lowest loss rate of any allied twin engined bomber in any theater of operation........not bad for something once considered a 'Widow Maker'.

Interesting Phil, thing is though by them Jimmy would of been in a Topgun league of pilots compared to rookie standard.
Nevertheless a great looking aircraft and 'model' ; well I think when they get to this stage the word replica is more fitting.

Phil

Sorry to rain on your parade, mate, but I think the Mosquito was the 'safest' WW2 bomber without a shadow of a doubt!
