Just need a radial in it now if anyone has one sitting around that they don't want!!! ;)

Back to reality.....it will be test flown on the G62 that was in it for the last 10 years, then if all goes well I'll be on the look out for something bigger sometime prior to the 2012 show season.. (but not this side of chrimbo!)

Nice one Gregg, looks like the real thing shrunk down, just like the Zero.

Thanks for coming down to Manston last week.
Sorry it was a wasted trip.
Should be back on late next week or the following one.
Cheers M.

Hi Gregg, stunning is all I have to say, well done, now it would make a nice article in the Journal, on how you revamped this old bird, any chance. :D

Don’t worry Mr Clifford I am coming to you next, you have a few builds on the go that would make some nice articles.

Elevator twin servo joiner.

My dad has been making these for at least 15 years as I had one in my old galaxy Mustang many moons ago.

If you can see in the 2 pics, its made from 2 pieces of brass tube with one sliding inside the other. When the servo heads are mounted to two servo's they work together. However, if one servo were to fail the other could still work giving reduced movement, but hopefully still enough to get you down.

This simple device was actually tested today.......in the thunderbolt!!! and it works!

Shortly after take-off the model sharply pulled up. I soon found that full down trim and full forward stick gave a slight shallow dive but that was it. Anyway, I got it round and thankfully got it down safely. It turns out that one of the elevator servo's (that are the original ones that were in there!) went full deflection and stayed there.

Without dads device the model would now be dead!!

Brilliant, two has got to be better than one.
A couple of new metal geared digi's and she's good for another ten years.

Today, with different servo's on the elevator, it had a very successful flight in less than alright conditions!
