Paul---yes ---since Bradford,i have had some time away from the Vulcan to sort out other models for the new season--plus last week away at East Kirkby---but,in between and all last week i have brought each section into workshop for final checks and for fitting turbines---the final inspection was done last week and application to test fly has been sent off to CAA --not long now!!!!

Dave. I'm not sure you engine bays are big enough haha. About 3 times the size of mine.

Can't wait to see it in the air.

While the weather has been unpleasant to say the least over the last week,we decided to do some more engine runs[awesome noise]and tidey up a few more hatches/wheel doors etc, plus thanks to Robbie Skipton i picked up some stickers and fitted over last weekend---the registration has been left off at moment --i have been a keen supporter of the XH558 club for many years and intend eventually to mark up as that, but of late we have been flying at Woodford where XM603 still sits there in all it [mucky ]White glory,so am considering for this season to mark as that one, will research the aircraft first to see its history,i know from going to airshows there in the 80s and 90s that it has been parked there for some years

Dave, are you sure about XM603 having 50 squadron and Lincoln badges? in the late seventies she was camouflaged with 50 squadron and then repainted white without the badge.

Tony--you are right,XH558 it wil be---thanks

Alan---originally i had planned for some fast taxies !! on Sunday---but the weather is awfull,so will spend another day addiing some more details and better fuel system fillers up front instead of tygon pipes sticking out underneath--i am away for the next few weekends,so it looks like Mid May now-----BUT, if we do get a good spell of weather midweek anytime,i have another airfield option awaiting ---watch this space---DAVE

Been waiting several weeks for suitable test flying conditions---and Tommorrow was to be my first opportunity--so with airfield options sorted,we decided today to assemble on driveway and do another engine run after modifying fuel sytems fillers etc----a full day was spent working out the easiest options for transport and assembly etc,and while moving around we found the wheel axles need beefing up,plus an electrical fault has stopped one turbine running --so it isnt to be tomoz,so after several photos, its back into the workshop for some modifications, which is dissapointing, but better finding here than travelling to fly and being let down---
