....and she flies, sorry for the big gap to anyone who was interested in following this thread but I was so busy trying to work and get this one flying I didn't have time for any updates. It's not quite finished detail wise but has now flown twice once at our field and once at a slightly damp Tibernham last friday. A sicky u/c unit meant a "wheels up" in the grass. So now I've got until Cosford to do the snagging and finish the cockpit and detaily stuff. Flew very nicely at just over half throttle with the MVVS 40cc. Although this engine is meant to be the same as the Evolution I found out the factory made Evolution exhaust requires a bit of treatment from the file and drill in order to fit. Having said that once fitted it proved to be fairly quiet.

Beyond hope I am afraid Stewart, reset his account after Rougham and sent him an email, had no reply to say he still can’t access the forum. As him to contact me again and I will try again.

Sue Sue took a tumble at Bickley scale in August on it's 13th flight. So now it's a rebuild again.

With a big hole in the front access is much easier, I started the fuselage repair by using lashings of pva in the cracks and broken parts at the back of the wing seat just to draw the sides back together and to prevent further breaks.

The wings are now repaired and ready to be repainted, the fragments of fuselage have now also been reassembled along with the new firewall which was laser cut by Belair. Due to it being so badly smashed I've fitted two 1/8th ply plates inside the fuselage at the front, this has been tied into the first three frames so now the outer skin isn't really structural and as it used to have lead in the nose the extra weight is not an issue. Now it needs a bit of filling and sanding before it's repainted.
