From Jet Provost to Hunter

Postby Keith Mitchell » June 26th, 2012, 2:24 pm

....... remember the display by the Jet Provost at Rufforth a couple of year's back ....?

http://www.newcastlejetprovost.net/

The aircraft based at Newcastle Airport was displayed by Neil McCarthy who, 25 years ago as a fresh-faced teenager, I taught to fly R/C at Newcastle Town Moor.

He's gone one even better now; see his solo flight in a T7A Hunter earlier this year:

Great stuff, eh!

Paul---i thought the same as yourself when i watched the video---i contacted Neil but unfortunately the cost of displaying a Hunter is very expensive and way over our budget for Elvington---But we are discussing other possiblities at moment !!!!

Dave, shame but totally understand. Look forward to seeing what you have up your sleeve though!
