Hi Dave.

The new Journal is brilliant. Very well done. I can nearly read it without having to reach for me glasses now.

A really great production, Dave, and the realisation of a longterm aim .......

I well remember in 1993 when taking-over from Brian Spoor as Secretary, he expressed the hope that one day - armed with future profits from Cosford I might add - the Association could afford to produce an in-house Journal that could compete with the professional modelling mag's in both content and format. Finally, I think we're there......

The large format has so much going for it; large photographs which really enhance the aircraft - and - the skills of those who photograph them (Neill, particularly, must be very pleased.......!); technical drawings, diagrams etc., which accompany articles can now be large enough to be useful (the A5 format is really too small to do justice to them).

It really is a production which befits the LMA of the 21st Century. It has been said many times that the Journal is the single, all-embracing entity which unites us and despite modern communication methods, Websites, Forums and the like - important as they are in their own right - the Journal is very much the 'crown jewel' of the LMA.

I do hope that it continues in its new format. I - and I'm sure the vast majority of members - would very much encourage this, even if it came to the point that it required a few extra quid on the annual fee........

Well done on the new format of the journal, I agree with all the coments above and would like to add that I found it a lot easier to read than previous journals.
Also with it being bigger you can get a good six finger grip on it.

Hi one and all, thank you so much for the fantastic response to the new format, as I said you would understand why it was a bit late this time.

Although I create and design the Journal, I still consider it a team effort, there is three of us in all, me Keith Mitchall and Neil Hutchinson. Keith does all the proof reading except on this occasion I ran out of time to send them all to him so my apologies if there is some typos in this issue, secondly, Neil provides all the flying shots in what I can only describe as cristyle clear quality. Without these two the journal would not be as good, so please keep letting us know what you think.

Oh! Let us not forget you all for contubuting you scribes in the first place.

I too remember those discussions way back in 1993 regarding the format of future journals whilst serving on the committee.

Well it has taken a long time to get here but what a result. The Journal is a symbol of what the LMA is about and this new style builds on the professionalism that the LMA have always strived for.

Well done to Dave, Keith, Neil and all contributors.

Top job.

John
