Alan, I know that the method you describe works, but the easy start system takes all the guess work and all the hard work out of it, though I bet you got warmed up niceley today !

its also a hundred quid, i have it, but i have started any good 62, or 45 in under 10 flicks for a laid up motor, something is wrong here, i wish i could get my hands on it, i have fitted the easy start on my 1/3rd jungmeinster, but only because i cant get at the prop the same with the HUGE cowl, to be honest Ken, i didnt even break into a sweat, its that easy,

I set up a mates hagar 9 taylor craft with a zenoah 26 set it up like you all been saying give it a normal flick fires but not started gave it a good slap flick roars into life thanks for the help now to get the 62 out & try it

We have one of these, starts all big petrols and keeps hands clear.

We've been using it for 5 years, went into Graves RC in Florida when we were on hols, they ordered it for us from Miller Products and a week later we picked it up.

Well worth it. Just bolts onto a Dynatron.

HOW MUCH????? Add that to the price of a Sullivan and the Easystart looks really, really cheap! Use a Sullivan on 24 volts and it will work fine. Or contact Glen for lessons in starting.....

I converted my dynatron by using a pair of spur gears from RS components, geared it down 3.5 to 1 worked well for over 10 years, cost about £25

We bought the reduction kit, cost us about £70, as it was about $2 to the pound at that time.


Maybe Dave 'retract' 'Brown of the Catton club could start producing something??

Barry, your conversion with the two spur gears looks good and resonably simple with nothing to go wrong or belts to break, can I ask how many teeth are on the gears please ?

Hi Paul, just been out to the workshop and counted the gear teeth, they are 12 and 36
The Rs stock No.s are 521-6193 and 521-6326 priced at £4.50 and £13.08 plus VAT I think.
