And the police helicopter was scrambled to see where all the noise was coming from, he atempted to get the thing flying at the nationals, with much guffawing from DB sound, when asked if it was gong to happen, Roy replied, its didnt come with any INSTRUCTIONS :D :D

Hi Gents, The 747 was built by Mike Rawlins, Roy Palin, Father & son Stan & Ron Broadway and Father & son Howard and Stan Smith. We built it for the world champs, in 1978 and it was the first large none company built model. We flew the model for British Airways at a few full size shows around the country.

Suoerb effort for the times, i seem to remember a VC10 in the same markings, this one was last seen at the bygone times place at preston, where Roy Lever sold it to them, nuff said there!!! SO, does this 747 still exist, and is it salvagable? such a shame to have it crumble to dust, :?

Hi gents,
Must be my age one of the builders was Mr Les Smith not Stan smith, sorry Les, Three of the team are still flying models.
