Paul started yesterday on the fuzz, we did the rest today with a lot of help from John pictured in the background of the pics, yes Greg its going to have some attitude with that 80 up front. It fits straight onto the bulkhead with only minor mods to the cowl to clear the plug caps. Regarding thrust lines do we need to put side thrust in as well as down as shown in the instructions. We will be at it again tomorrow , hopefully finish the wings and get the engine mounted. We will not be glassing it, profilm is the choice of covering on this one so we can get it in the air ASAP, colour sceme chosen.

Another busy day, no engine in yet but good progress all the same. My wheels are too big at 5" so got to get some 4 3/4 or 4 1/2 before the weekend.

Testament to a fantastic but simple design that it can be built that quick(credit to your builder too). Well done Willy, I'm sure this is going to be a big seller this year. I imagine a few orders coming in after Barkston next week. I hope Dickie S has booked some warm weather.

Yup, agreed. Mine will be ready for paint next week and I started it in December. Thats pretty quick when you consider I only work on it a few hours a week, I had to cut all the parts myself, I've added various scale details (wing & tail fairings, retract covers, air scoops etc), I've added large access hatches front and back and I've glassed and surface detailed the whole model.

So when do you start yours Stew?

Not a lot done today, Engine fitted and the wing sanded with leading edges fitted, Dubro 4 1/2" wheels sorted which fit better being slimmer as well as smaller dia. Took a trip down Essex this afternoon to pick up another project, thanks Chris for the hospitality.

Well 5 days (approx 110 man hrs) into the build and we are nearly ready to start covering, we balanced the plane today to see if we needed to put the battery in the tail but no probs, all ok with the battery in the cockpit area. Sorry no pics I left my camera with Paul, we recon on a couple more days & we will be ready to test fly.
