Introduction : New Forum Member

Postby Wendy D Norman » July 16th, 2013, 7:54 pm

Hi All :)
As I am new to this forum I would like to introduce myself. My name is Wendy Norman, and some of you may know me from Perfect-Pilots. I am very pleased to have had an article about Perfect-Pilots published in the latest LMA Journal and I hope that readers have found it interesting. For those of you who have my pilots flying in your models, I hope you enjoyed reading some background information and details on how your pilot was made.

I always appreciate feedback from modellers, so if you have any comments or suggests, please let me know! I am developing and increasing my range constantly, and it would be great to hear from you if there is anything in particular that you would like added to my range in future.

I am fascinated by period clothing and do a lot of research into suitable outfits for my pilots. If any of you have info that you could share with me I would greatly appreciate it. This research helps me to get the "look" to suit the era.

I am disappointed that we won't be able to attend Cosford, but hope to see some of you at other LMA events.

Welcome to the forum! I am a relatively new member of the forum, and so far the info, hints, tips etc. have had a major influence on my modelling skills. This is the best resource for help and advice I have come across, augmented by some wicked humour!

Hi Wendy, welcome to the LMA Forum, so glad you like the way the article was presented in the Journal I hope it helps all with the fact that they know how the pilots are made. I just hope your article will inspire other traders to shed a light on their trade it was a festinating read.

Hi Wendy,

Welcome from Yours Truly. I liked your Journal article and agree with your no pilot in the 'office' bit (wooden propellers on warbirds are also a beef of mine, too).

Cheers,
Neil

Thanks for making me welcome :D

Thanks Steve, really looking forward to being involved in the forum!

Dave thanks again for publishing the article for us. Hopefully it will inspire other traders to submit articles, it's always good to read about the local small businesses and their developments.

Neil, thanks for the comments, I agree with you about wooden props.

Wendy

Hi all,
I got one of Wendy's 1/5 scale pilots today and i can say the detail is very nice. I'll be ordering a couple of full length ones when Wendy starts making them.

Pleased to hear that you are happy with your pilot Sean, and I hope that he flies (safely) for you for many years to come!

The half body 1/5 scale pilots will soon be available in full body too - they are growing legs ;) - the bottom half of the body is "work in progress" !

Wendy
