Programmable, 19th century, 6,000-piece automaton

Wonderful precision engineering in this automaton boy – hard to believe that he was made so long ago. It seems unbelievable that he was programmable, and that he still works today!

wow thats ironic
i was just planning to build a fully automated head with servos ,not clockwork like this amazing piece of work,but i suppose RC planes are automatons really cause of the mimicking of bird behavior.
