Cheers Alan. The full size wings are from a Sopwith Pup, the very Pup from the TV series Wings in the 80's.

On the Wellington front, I imagine that a certain 'Vodmeister' might want in on the Wellington slot, will look spectacular!!

Ian.

Hi all, well considering I started this thread I thought I’d better put something on. I haven't done anything as big as building a Wellington or other fantastic projects as shown on this forum, but I have finally got my little 1/4 scale clipped wing Cub done and flying again after its encounter with terror firmer a couple of years ago. I was going to completely recover it, but thought better of it as it will only ever be use a club model, so a spruce up was done instead.

After repairing the main damage I sourced some pop bottles to re-glaze the windows. Having no cub yellow left, and also having no local model shop anymore I opted for my leftover white from my Sky-120. At first I thought this isn’t going to work, but I persevered. All in all it turned out pretty good; the wings weren’t too bad it was mostly cosmetic so I just put some white on them as well.

It had it maiden flight a couple of weeks ago just before this nasty weather came back to bit us again, I had forgot just how much fun this little plane was to fly. Happy days.
