Is Balsaloc PVA Glue In Disguise ?

I need to buy some Balsaloc, so i did a search on the internet to find who sells it and it brought up that PVA glue is the same thing so just thought i would get peoples thoughts is it :?:

Hi Jason, I don't know for sure if Balsaloc is PVA, but I've used PVA diluted with water to the same consistancy as Balsaloc and found that it works exactly the same, apart from it needs a little longer to go touch dry. Dave Jones.

I had the same thought about Balsaloc years ago and have used thinned pva ever since with excellent results and since it is going to be thinned buy B&Q (other stores are available) own brand, it's a lot cheaper. On the same topic I'm sure that Unibond is thinned pva that painters and decorators use.

Afternoon All,

I have to say i have now used PVA thinned out on the scale glider and it seems to be fine and the wings are covered now, just the rest to go 8-)
