Dave & Harold's Panthers

Postby Keith Mitchell » May 15th, 2009, 10:48 am

Do you know what, those useless large, LMA laggards from Lancashire still haven't posted any pic's of their magnificent 1/4-scale Grumman Panthers so yours truly is doing it for them --------------!

K.
PS Is Harold adjusting the crown jewels with his left hand? He always was a show-off -------!

Euan - they're scratch-built. As I recall, they're enlarged from the Ziroli plan (I think), Belair did the formers; they're balsa/glass cloth covered.
Why don't you have a chat with them; they'll be at Longhorsley on the Sunday.

Dear Uncle Keith, Thanks for putting on our Panthers, we have got through life by acting thick and we have found that people help us out with all this new fangled technology.
The panthers are scratch built from modified ziroli plans enlarged by Belair to 155%.
The models are 1/4 scale and are 116 ins wingspan and 114 ins long.
We have been approx 18 months building them and probably 1600 hours.

From a new "Kero in the veins" addict, well done guy's two great looking models, and the proof of the pudding flights, hope you get many flights under your belt with them, and keep up the good work. (no ruddy thumbs up on the smilies, Grrrr.)

Vince.
