To say im shocked and deeply sadened is a massive understatement. As well as knowing Dave from flying at the LMA shows he was also the chairman of my local club. Ive never met a man who lived and breathed model flying and was alway there for a chat and a good friend. RIP Dave and my deepest condolences to his family.

Well to say I am shocked is an understatement! Just logged on this morning and seen this post, young Dave was one of the last people I would have been reading and writing this post about, he was a truly great chap, always willing to help anyone and everyone, kept DJ's Z38 running a treat.

The last time I saw Dave was at Colin Hammond's funeral, when he and DJ were kind enough to travel all the way to East Sussex to attend, even though Dave was still suffering from his illness.

as stated, Dave was truly a great cheery chap, you couldn't help but like his friendly attitude, and will definitely be sorely missed on the show circuit, sad loss of one of life's great guys. R.I.P. Dave.

Cannot attend Dave's funeral as I am working that day, BUT, I will wear my blue LMA fleece in honour of Dave, a truly lovely guy that I can't get my head around that he has moved on, likewise, as I still miss Colin Hammond phoning me two or three times a day, life certainly gets harder when you loose great friends and great guys.

I have just read the sad news and I am lost for words, I got on great with Dave since joining the LMA, since my first meeting with dave we did nothing but have a laugh and a joke, he always had time for everybody and would never leave anyone stuck for help.
From all who knew you in Scotland, you will be sadly missed.

A bit of a shock reading of Dave Bailey having gone. I found him to be a lovely man and enjoyed the time I shared with him. Bye Bye.

I joined the LMA earlier this season, Dave was the first person which my family and I met whilst attending the East kirkby show. He instantly made us very welcome and always made time to call round to the caravan for a chat at all of this years events.... Such a very sad loss.....
