Yes hard points have been installed for the wocketts Alan... ..

I wish to have some air-time on her before these are constructed though. Just waiting on the paint masks now from Mr Fliteline then we are up and away.....

Always wondered about a Tiify model, looks great with wockets, but looks odd landing with them on?? Will you have just the rails? And lovely big cannons?

Not overly concerned Alan, sure I will conjure up something...the cannon bases are already to have the cannons screwed in...

Currently weighing in at 34lbs with motor / retracts and most radio,

I have roughly balanced her with a lump of lead at 6lb which is far to much, so pleased considering some lads in the states are flying theses at 52lbs

Well it's been a while but the la7 is almost there . I've ordered my paint masks from Nigel so not long now

Well that's it finally got all the painting done on the la7 . And have saturated to flattern back the fuz for the more faded look next will be the dirty wash.

What wash did you use for the wash and how did you apply it. Please advise as the effect is good.

Hi john . Thanks chris . Well all I can say is that's a very good method and simple to use but it all depends on the individual applying it lol . It would be wrong of me to tell you as I was show by someone else . You may know him he's big and Scottish so il let him know and let him comment .

So we still don't know how the weathering was done. It's a hobby and part of the reason for sharing your models on the forum is to spread inspiration and knowelege.......or is it ?

good answer john.,.,.,,.dirty washes are normaly exactly what they say,,washed with dirty paint,,a kitchen sponge,.,some water based paint In the dirty tone or tone"s of your choice then simply wash as per air flow over the model,,.,.i use a grey or red scotch pad to fade out certain panels.,,.then some soft airbrushing.,.,,.again scotch that back aswell,,..,theres plenty of different ways.,.,.,graham has his alloy paint system which is the best ive seen the way he does it.,& is a master at what he does,,but its no big secret,.why all the fuss!

Well this has all got a bit funny . What started of as a light hearted bit of fun between me and graham . I was waiting form graham to reply to the post to give him the opertunity to explane how it's done .
John quite simple emulsham paint and keep working it into the rivets and panel lines one it has dryed witch is very quick due to the paint having ova in it I use a bit of wire wool and drag it in one direction I use scotch bright before all this to key the surface and take the paint right back in areas were wear would normally be found . Keep repeating this process to build up on areas that would get dirty then with the airbrush highlight panel edges and agin use the wire wool to fade out
