Zenoah G800BPU

Postby Stuart Atwill » August 14th, 2009, 4:59 pm

Hi, I have just run my Zenoah 80cc twin cylinder for the first time. The owners manual states that one should use a prop to give 7000-10,000 rpm in the air. I fitted a 26x8 and got 5600rpm, then tried a 24x10 and got 5800rpm. It is fitted with two standard silencers but with extention pipes. There is no trumpet on the carb. Do these figures sound about right? Also it has a real flat spot at about 3300-4300rpm.
Maybe my tach is telling lies!
