Something i couldn't show was a picture of the foam core i made and placed into the mould before the rubber compound,simply because the liquid rubber goes off so fast you just have to get it poured quickly. :? :?

Just standard two part latex.

The great thing about using it is that nothing sticks to it so you don't need to use any release agent,just pour,wait to dry and your part will pop right out even when using casting resin.

X2 1 litre bottles and catalyst for about 16 pounds on ebay.

a bit costly you can get it cheaper if you look around but this is the same product.

How much weight did that flap spring/hinge add? Looks...beefy!

Hi Dave

I didn't weigh it.

Keep in mind the pictures are really close up.

To give you an idea, the screws for the door are M1, the spring adjuster screw is M3 and the door is plastic so i would imagine in the scheme of things its not very much at all.

What is on my mind though is the weight of the engine,at 6.3kg it's a real bruiser.

It's looking fantastic well done. I'm building the all wood version could you post some more detailed photos of the aileron hinges please.
