Carriage charges for Cyparis

Postby Stuart Solomon » December 19th, 2016, 10:56 am

Unfortunately my carrier has just changed their pricing policy without informing me. They are now trying to charge £27 per package. Disgraceful. So until I can find another suitable carrier, shipments will have to be on hold. Thanks, Stuart.

Just had one quote for carriage. £179.00. Think there extracting the urine.

Have you tried MyHermes ? Their rates are competitive, only limit is max length 1.5m I think ?

Chaps, do not use "My Hermes"! I recently had a shipment lost by these idiots. I was assured that the item sent would be handled safely, the price was competitive and I insured it correctly and the value of the shipment. "My Hermes" lost the item in transit stating they had not received it but failed to tell me of this until my client was shouting at me saying he did not believe I had sent the item and yet I had a tracking number! Eventually had to claim against the non delivery because it was obvious the item had been lost and not delivered, "My Hermes" weedled out of it claiming "because it had not reached their distribution centre it was deemed that it had been lost in transit because it had not been checked in correctly, also the insurance on the item therefore defaulted to a maximum of £50. The item was worth £1000! Never to be seen again, lost monies, very upset customer who had paid me in full and I refunded the money but I am now out of pocket. Small claims court is a no-no as my solicitor said this happens all the time especially with "My Hermes"!

I'm sorry you've had a bad experience with them, I've sent & received 30+ parcels with them this year and never any problems, unlike Royal Fail 5 parcels lost !!

Ups and dpd are ok its a question of not whoes best but who isnt the worst they all have issue and all loose stuff. I know believe me. My hermes work like this. Parcels are sent by waggon to local depots as on our trading estate. Then it is descended on by couriers who use their own cars to deliver it. They use allsorts from minis to small vans and all between. Whilst they are stuffing their vehicles parcels are everywhere, on the floor outside on the roof etc. Would i use them probably not.im not saying stuff gets lost but its not handled well by the couriers.
