Scampton Airshow 2017

Postby chris-berry » November 11th, 2016, 8:06 am

I've just read that RAF Scampton will be home to and air show in September next year.

Is it a good opportunity for the LMA to have a presence at the show if they can accommodate us albeit as a static display?

What do the committee think?

Thanks
Chris

The bad news is 39 quid tickets for a short 5 hour show, and the word is only room for max 25 static aircraft and nothing bigger than c130 size :(

It has been said that at that price the wing walkers had better be using typhoons !

Blame the CAA for raising their fees, and rocketing insurances.

As with all the public sector bodies, resources are reducing and costs need to be mitigated and so where they can they put their fees up. Shame really, especially for the small shows like Sywell!
