Howard DGA6 Mr Mulligan
I am in need of some assistance with the Undercarriage of a Mr Mulligan DGA6. I am building a 1/4 scale model and would like to fit a scale undercarriage but cant find any info or drawings. I know the Bud Nosen kit uses a bent aluminium and piano wire set up but i would like to do something a bit better.Any help with hinge type and suspension will be gratefully received. Thanks

Paul, if I remember correctly Harry Hartland did an article in the journal on the undercarriage Mount system he used in his Stinson. It used a system which used internal springing which worked very well. And was not visible on the outside.
If I find it I'll let you know
Cheers a Dave

Paul, Paul Matts scale airplane drawings volume 2 has drawings and a Black and White photo, not the best that I have seen.It looks like the top of the V ends are simply pivoted and the inner strut is attached to the fuz with a rubber compression block on the fuz centre line

Thanks Alan, some nice photos there but still a bit difficult to see how the suspension works.
