Robart Retracts Help.

Postby Peter Jervis » October 20th, 2019, 7:01 pm

I am in the process of servicing existing retracts in a 1/5 scale warbird 2nd hand. After Nexus declined to order for me I went direct to Robart USA. After a few emails and 3 view drawings of a few different sets, and checking measurements on said drawings I ordered a starboard offset oleo and 2 springs, price with delivery was £71...fine. Within in a week items were in my possession, great... not ! The oleo was the right length but 3mm wider and the springs were half as long again. Emailed Robart with pics of the items I need with diameter dimensions of the oleo and springs, they won’t except pics they need ref numbers, I can’t for the life of me find this size on their website and Robart are not forthcoming. Can anybody help me please.

Yes, the spring is around 9mm so therefore fits into the oleo which is nearly 11mm. The ones Robart sent are a lot bigger in diameter and length but on there website it does not show diameters, that’s the problem, have trawled their site and can’t find these diameters but Robart just keep coming back with “We need reference numbers”. !!!!

Peter, it seems that Robart have sent you a set of oleo legs for the "Ziroli" sized P51 style set. I will check this evening and come back to you.

Peter, I have tried calling you to no avail, please check your PMs. I have left a message but I feel the number you gave me is incorrect. I do have 2 sets but need to know your wheel offset.
