Postby Dave Parry » April 18th, 2010, 9:04 pm

Can the person who sent me this email on the LMA web address please give me their name and email address.

i emailed you about not being able to get back on the forum, and log in--no
answer, so, here i am again, i have tried the password from the lost
your password thing (i didnt loose it, it just would not recognise it) it
would not accept the new one given me, it only happens on this site,
can you please help???

I can't sort out your problem if you don't tell me who you are. :geek:

one of the things with passwords on this site is that a CAPITAL letter has to be used somewhere- is this the problem? Dead easy to forget. (ask me how I know)

Hi Bob, not anymore, we have got rid of the upper/lower case and the numbers too you can use anything for your password now, the main problem we have is some members don't use the site for months so when they come to log in they have forgot the username or password or even both, but as I have said in my message the person who has forgot is username or whatever as sent two email to me Anonymous, what is the point of that? So I have no idea who it is. :geek:

Hi Dave, another problem which is particular to this site, is that it will not remember your log in details :x

I am a JMA member and a registered user of their site, which uses the same software as this site, on that site it remembers your log in details so you don't have to keep typing it in and remembering it, would it not be possible to switch on that feature on this site?

Other than that, keep up the good work, your doing a great job with the web.

Cheers,

Vince.

Hi Vince, this feature is switched on but for some reason it doesn't work, I was not involved in the setting up of this forum so I can't access a lot of the features that is why I am trying to get a new forum sorted but I fear it will be in the winter months again before I will get chance to have another go, it is show season now so I an tide up there.

Once again thank you for your kind comments about the website it is appreciated. :geek:

Yes Bob it work if you use the forum on a regular bases like you but if you don't use it for a couple of weeks it logs you off even though it is set to remember you forever just ask Mr Cantwell who happens to be the one who is trying to log back on to this site after setting it to remember him so I am right in my reply to Vince it doesn’t work.
