Hi All, well I have finally made it, the end is in sight, my long suffering better half is saying thank god I might get something done in the house now ( in her dreams) I’ve done my share for this year, anyway the last of the covering was done last night and today I have started to fit the radio gear, as you will see from the pictures I haven’t finish installing it yet but while the weather was nice I just had to put it together and take some pictures for you all.

It will be at Rougham this weekend on the LMA Trade stand if you like to have a look, but not to close mind, it is my first build, thanks to you all for your kind words and advice over the build I don’t think it will be my last. :D :D :geek:

I think they all had hard hats on when they saw him arrive !!!!!! seriously, considering the awfull crosswind today at the site,it flew great, and other than being slightly nose heavy,no trim required---another good example of Tony N designs---i imagine Dave will be at home polishing it tonight-----

Arr yes all polished and ready again, no squirrels was harmed in the flying of this plane because I wasn’t flying it when we were making the video, however I did see a few with hard hats on when Dave pass it over to me, ‘what’s that all about then’, I feel someone tip them off. ‘Phil’

I enjoyed the thread and have to admit the covering is better than I might manage.
I noticed that Dave Parry did not decide to modify his to use flaps. Would this be a good idea? especially to slow down for landing.

Now that some time has passed, also now that 2.4 Ghz is ok, What servo's would be most suitable for the Sky-120? I plan on using my Spektrum DX7 with mine.

Hi Bob, Sadly the Sky -120 is no more it meet its end at Much Marcle, nothing to do with the build or anything like that, just an unfortunate incident involving a very large tree, and before you ask no it wasn’t me flying it, but there you go you pay your money you take your chance. My second Sky - 120 will be ‘I hope’ finished for the show season, I used the servo that come with my DX7 and they were fine, if you have the skill to build flap in, then I would do it, I feel it does come in a bit fast on landing which might be a problem for some club strips. I hope this helps and I am glad you enjoyed the thread. :geek:

I have also found the undercarriage tends to do the splits after one or two heavy landings so on my second 120 I have decided to try and prevent it happening again, a little crude but it seem to work, I might find a way of making it look a bit better, we will see.
