The Hun is moving closer to the sun, Kens one will be ready for him tomorrow, just been finishing off the wing fairings today. He has already glassed the wings so it's not far behind mine. Mine is in primer and nearly ready for the detailing. I've had a bit of change of plan with the air system which was previously installed in the fuselage, I'm now going to try and fit it all into the root of the wings.

Ken collected his 109E yesterday, These few pictures mainly show the wing fairings which are made up of a combination of 1/64 ply, balsa, lightweight filler and Dolphin glaze. Once the fuselage is glassed the fairings will be finished off with a piece of rectangular plastic (1.5mm x 5mm x however long) this runs along the top and is quite prominent on the fullsize.

A few more, the last one shows the cutout in the rear of the fuselage and the strut fixing point which is just a 3/4" dia x 1/8" ply disc counter sunk into the 1/2" balsa sides(yes 1/2").

Not just one but two, both mine and Bonezys will be there. We are hoping they will have the glass cowls and spinners made, also by then they should have the tail struts on and be looking Emilish. One of they guys at the club has made us the female mould for the spinners, which I forgot to bring back from the field today  . Once we have made the spinner cones I will ask Cestrian to make the back plates and possibly the oleo's.
They were going to be powered by Z62's but we've decided that the 62 won't be able to make it fly like a 109 so the engines will probably be 3w 75's or similar.

''Come on Bonzey'' ,,, Come on FB more like!
My Emil is now all glassed, control surfaces fabric coverd and stitched and tapped, the front end all shapped and the lower engine cowel done, cannopy frame 75% done. The whole air frame is now ready for a light caot of primer to make it look pretty for Gaydon. Sitting next to that Willis Warbirds 190.
Whatch out for the Hun in the Sun, Clop.

Ken, make sure he uses enough mould release wax or you will be using the mould as the spinner, not the bit inside.

Bit more done today, tail plane struts, tail wheel ass, dummy main U/C. At least I can have it sitting on its wheels at Gaydon.
