Attention Mr S E Hotchkiss

Postby Dave Parry » July 29th, 2013, 10:37 am

This is a message for a Mr S E Hotchkiss, assuming you do visits the forum. You keep sending emails to the website address and I have tried to email you back on several occasions without any success, your email account just keep bouncing back. I have also tried from different accounts but all do the same thing, so if you want to communicate with us please find out what is wrong with your email address, don’t just assume it is us that is ignoring you.

Does anybody know this M S E Hotchkiss, I have had another email from him it goes as follows:

Dear Sir/Madam

I have sent you quite a few emails in
the two weeks, but I have no response at all. I was wondering if this email
site is still working.

I looking for a pitts S1S, could you
help me out? Also I am building a 82" wing span F4U corsair & a tiger moth
with a wing span of 88"

If I don't hear from you, I will take
it upon my self to carry on even if it goes over Wight, & I will sort the
building out on my own.

Well got to go & make a start.

Yours M S E Hotchkiss

I can’t email him back as his email address just bounce back and there is no other contact; I am really getting feed up of him now.

PS I don’t think he is a member.

I can't help you as to who he is, but if you're clicking 'reply' to his emails, maybe its just an unusual bug in the system causing the bounce back. I had it once with a customer, so I manually typed their email address in to a new email rather than a reply and it worked. Another option might be to try contacting him from a different email account. Other than that, I think its fair to say you're doing all you can.

Hi Chris, I have done it all, I have 4 different email accounts and none of them work I have type it in manually as well, the other thing left is to try and guess what might be typed wrong but I could end up with someone else email address, the bit that concerned me is he is going to build a plane that might go over the limit and nobody would have inspected it. He also sound like he has very little experience which is a dangerous combination.

Anyway, thanks for the reply and advice.

As i discussed with you Dave, an appeal has been put on the BMFA classifieds, IF the mods leave it alone, you never know, it might bear fruit

If he can't manage to use any of the other half-dozen email addresses or several phone numbers that are on the website...including the email address and two phone numbers that are on the page detailing the over 20kg scheme, there's not a lot that can be done.

That is if he exists in the first place & isn't the pigment of someone's imagination...

I agree, but i can see what comes of this type of issue, we get slagged off for being elitist, stuck up, etc, nothing has come of the BMFA appeal, i get the impression this guys a loner, lets just hope he looks in on the forum, you can do no more Dave,

New developments from last night, the Membership Secretary from the SAA has contacted me with a possible lead as to who this person is, also a Russell Hotchkiss has just pop up on our facebook page. Might be just a coincidence as the persons name in the emails doesn’t start with R, very weird though don’t you think.

Hi Peter, sometimes we don't receive emails, that is why a have more then one as you will see at the bottom of my posts, I try and answer all emails even if I don't have a clue what the person is on about, I find it rude not to reply, I am sorry if you didn't get a reply but I assure you I wouldn't have receive it and that is why you didn't get a response. In the case of the above I have received several but I can't reply back to him it just keeps getting bounced back to me.
