Twin electronic ignition

Postby barrie burton » February 6th, 2014, 10:10 am

I have a twin electronic ignition unit that was used in a now defunct twin.I want to use it on a single cylinder engine. Can I simply use one lead only or do I have to put an unused plug in the second lead? Thanks in advance

Octopus RC also list a good range, I've had good service from them. But stick with the RCEXL brand
(not the XYZ ignition ).

Hi Barry

to answer your original question, you will have to put a plug in the unused cap or you will damage the ignition. The problem then is you will have an unshielded spark somewhere on your model and even 2.4 ghz radio does not like that.
