Hi Chris
Nice to see another one and that will be my choice of colour scheme,may be slight variation.Will be nice to see another fly,lets hope there is some flight footage of the others. I am hoping to be ready in March and tested before Easter.When it is primer will post a picy.

Had my first flights with a jet since last year on Friday, had a great time at Longmarston with 4 flights on the JP. For the first time I really pushed the speed up for to max on full circuits and she performed faultlessly, previously I was happy just flying slow but over the winter months I have been flying the Ripmax Dagger which is deceivingly quick and this has helped to get the speed up. Again the landing were a non event with a stable decent on full flap.

Could you let me know fuel tank capacity for info and I will be putting wheels on for pictures in primer soon.Have started fitting engine and other bits.

Hi Graham, the fuel capacity is about 2.6 ltrs, I only fill the two side tanks and use the top one as a taxi tank/overfill and I get 5 mins with fuel to spare with my Wren 70.

Just waiting to do turbine runs now and maybe a testing before easter. If tested it will be with me at easter.If not ait tested ,might bring it along to run turbine at flyin.

Hi All
Carried out ground tests on Thursday after changing servos at the rear for Futaba 9070, Test flight carried out at Winterton on Saturday and it is a pleasure to say it was excellent,very little trim and away we went,second flight had reduced throws for elevator and after approx 6mins still had 1 tank full.Slight nose leg mods needed when bringing up nose leg.Very pleased .

Always like it when next to no trimming needed.Likely scheme is as picy complete with lumps and bumps.

Test flew my Jetwelt JP on Friday. All did not go well as I seem to have the c of g too far back making it very sensitive at low speed and I had 5mm of down elevator dialed in after landing or should I say arrival. Knocked out the nose leg & bent a main but no structural damage. I will now recheck my settings when the parts are repaired, it was set at 30% so it should of been OK as my smaller one is set the same and is very stable. When it was flying it handled well and really looked the part in the air and with the 180 it was not short on power, just the low speed was a problem.

Re- balanced today and added 1.25 lb, roll on Friday for another test flight.

After a frustrating start to the day I finally got the second flight in, take off was smooth and steady but again I needed 4 mm of down trim to get her to fly straight & level. The c of g is now at 25% which shows in the flight as she flies heavy but stable, flaps still induce a steep climb so down will have to be mixed in but it now means surgery to change the tail plane incidence to resolve the need for down trim and get the c of g back to around 30% where it is on my smaller JP. The landing was far better with the reduced elevator throws and although quick with no flaps she got down safely after 3 attempts.
