Thanks Stuart, I am happy with the way it has turned out so far.
Robert, it is the SLEC plan that I am using. I also have a 1/48 scale drawing that I am referring to as well. I used it when I built my smaller 90 in Chris Golds plans Lancaster years ago.

I have completed the elevator servo bays in the horizontal stab, and I hope to get the remainder of the bottom of the stab sheeted tonight. Then it will be a matter of cleaning things up, some shaping, sanding and some filling before I can glass this.
I will mark the servo bay locations and cut these out after glassing. Then I will have to make the servo covers which will have the servo's attached.

The servo locations are framed, and I have sheeted the bottom of the horizontal stab.

Did some light weight filler on the trailing edge and on a few other areas.
I added an extra hardwood dowel to secure the fin, so I put some filler on those three locations.
The area with the "X" is where I need to remove balsa to expose the servo bay, this will be done after glassing.

Completed sanding the horizontal stab and am happy with the way it looks.
Decided to glass the bottom with 3/4 oz cloth, as I am starting to get some hanger rash.
When the bottom cures I will do the top.

Have been doing more glassing of the tail section.
Horizontal stab is glassed top and bottom, working on the elevators.
Hope to also get the vertical fins, and rudders done in a few days.

I have a glassing Question, i noticed when you did the wings and the fuselage split etc you did the glassing in sections. How do you manage this without having edges/lines where they meet?

I remember stressing when glassing last time as i tried to do it all at once.

I glass the pieces in three sections. Usually I do the ends, then do the bottom, then the tops.
If you knock down the dry edges, they remain flush with the surface.
There is an overlap of the top over the bottom (seam/edge) but this is blended when I put on a second skim coat of resin to fill the weave.
You can just primer and fill as well, but normally I do a second coat. It still feels rough after the second coat, but I then use a razor blade, rubbing it back and forth to smooth out the surface.

I am going to glass as I go too, last time I saved it all till the end up ended up with lots of hanger rash!

Having to remove doors to get the body out is hard work!

Christmas is done, and work continues on the Lancaster.
Tail is completely glassed. Needs to be sanded down in a few days, and hope to get the first coat of primer applied.
The first coat of primer looks terrible, but highlights the imperfections.

It warmed up today to -2 C, so I took advantage of the temperature, turned on the heat in my garage and applied primer to the tail.
Not the work begins on rubbing it back and smoothing out any imperfections.
It will wait until the new year, need the primer to cure before I wet sand.

Thanks Stuart and Nigel. I am happy with the way it is turning out.
Could not stand looking at it, so I was itching to do some sanding, lol.
Gave it a very quick once over with 320 wet paper, turned out pretty good.
Lots more sanding to go, and a few areas that need some attention.

Started on the elevator servo compartments.
Using the "X" that I marked on the balsa before glassing as a guide I removed the balsa.
I then took my template to mark the wood that needs to be removed to produce the hardwood mounting rails for the servo covers.
I did not glue this area when I sheeted so it would be easy to remove.
Once the wood was removed, I applied thin CA to seal the wood and adhere it to the frame.

Made up the servo mounts using 1/8 ply, and sanded them to fit the servo pockets.
Adjusted the servo control arm location so the linkage will be direct with no issues.
Attached it with just a few screws at the moment, still needs a slight sanding to make it flush with the bottom of the horizontal stab.

The glass cowls came from Falcon aviation they were the last 4 they had unfortunately I had to extend them 20mm to fit over the Zenoah 38's I'm using
