hi all i have to drill out several props for a DA50 Rear

has anyone got a prop drill guide they would like to sell or lend me

MOST ARE dle on ebay

i looking for desert aircraft prop drill guide which is different but 5.2mm the dle is not the right one USA only

would like to borrow a DA guide rather than purchase if possible as a last resort i will buy one if have to & wait 6 weeks

There is no difference DLE and DA use 5mm bolts and industry std hole centres. SECRAFT also make one that comes with 5.1mm drill

the difference is marginal with the layout

drilled 1 prop with dle drill guide line iup one hold and the DA holes where offset by 2 mm in the round

Did you use a pillar drill, or a hand held, and did you put a bolt in the first hole drilled, to stop the jig moving, check the pitch circle diam with the prop washer, ,

pillar drill, yes to all of the above

Well maybe it was a 'poor'quality DLE jig as I have both genuine DA and DLE (from MacGregor) jigs and If I hold them together they are identical. I've sold lots of DLE type to DA customers with no comment.
Pillar drill is only OK if the bed is flat and 90 degrees to the drill. Props need to be supported on the hub to sit square, so props the TE of the blade is below the hub...

thanks dave i will reseat again the dle drill guide, the guide came direct from DLE so genuine, pillar drill was set perfect.

so i could only think is was me i have a busted prop i will try it again and see the da will line up with that
